The Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, in cooperation with the Iranian History Association, published (Bi-Quarterly Journal of Social and Economic History with license number 77660/3 dated 2012 / 06 / 30). On 08 / 07 / 2023 according to the letter of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the title of the journal was changed to Bi-Quarterly Journal of Iranian Economic History Research with the following goals:

1- Efforts and collaboration to grow and expand the knowledge of economic history in Iran;

2- Efforts to create special research areas of economic history in Iran;

3- Synergy between the interdisciplinary field of historical studies and the economic history of Iran.

Accordingly, the journal invites respected professors and researchers to submit their research articles on all economic aspects of the life of the Iranian people throughout Iranian history to the journal office, including the following areas:

**Thematic approach

Promoting and developing knowledge and research findings on economic history: History of economic history; Theoretical discussions; Methodology; History of urban; rural and pastoral economy; Market economy and trade; Economic institutions; Economic changes and developments in Iran; Economic thought and other related fields, production, distribution, income, trade, exchange, money, wealth, taxes, livelihood, work, national wealth, economic actors, economic institutions, factories, manufacturing companies, service companies, agriculture, land tenure system, economic systems, economic theories, economic ideas, economic ideologies, poverty, unemployment, inflation, economic corruption, bribery, economic laws, economic policies in Iran and other discussions related to the economic history of Iran.

** This journal has a scientific "B" rating based on the evaluation system of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science.

Based on the regulations issued by the Publications Commission dated May 1398 (Article 6) and the approval of the title change in 2023, the following policies apply to this journal:

1. The title of the journal is the Scientific Bi-Quarterly Journal of Research on the Economic History of Iran (previously titled the Journal of Social and Economic History).

2. The specialized field of the journal is Economic History.

3. In this scientific journal, after the acceptance of the article, the type of article (research, promotional, review, and others) is included on the first page of each article (Article 2, Clause 6 of the regulations)
